Autism Resource Center of Kansas City to Host Ribbon Cutting & Open House on August 5th

The Autism Resource Center of Kansas City (ARCKC) is proud to announce an official Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to celebrate and connect with the families, professionals, and partners it was built to serve. The event will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, from 8:00am to 12:00pm at 8550 Marshall Drive, Suite 105, Overland Park, KS 66214.

The event invites parents, guardians, educators, medical providers, and community partners to experience the newly opened space firsthand. Attendees will have the opportunity to:

  • Tour the facility

  • Meet the directors and team

  • Learn about ARCKC’s innovative pre-vocational program for adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Additionally, in thanks to the Overland Park and Lenexa Chamber of Commerce organizations, a special Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will take place at 9:45am.

“This Open House is more than just a tour—it’s a showcase of the opportunity that exists for young adults with autism,” said Jay Cross, Founder of ARCKC. “We hope to welcome families and partners who want to see how we’re fostering real opportunities for independence and purpose.”

The Autism Resource Center is currently accepting enrollment for its Summer Session and beyond. Programs are offered in half-day or full-day formats and are built around three core areas of development:

  • Pre-Vocational Training – preparing individuals for meaningful employment through hands-on learning, workplace simulations, and personalized support that builds readiness for real-world jobs

  • Social Skills – fostering relationships, strengthening communication skills, and encouraging peer interaction

  • Health & Wellness – empowering participants to make healthy lifestyle choices, both physical and emotional

The Autism Resource Center welcomes media coverage, interviews, and feature stories to help further awareness of its mission. For press inquiries, please contact Lynne Pierce at LynnePierceCreative@gmail.com.
